Are you a budding website developer? If yes, then you would most surely like to see your work published on the World Wide Web. This tutorial is dedicated to you. Before we begin, Geocities requires your homepage to be named index.html Be sure to rename it if you have kept some other name. Also, make sure that all links to the homepage are also updated.
That is, for example, you wish be launch a website called ‘FootballFanClub’, then FootballFanClub should be your login id. With millions of websites launched, getting the name of your choice is sometimes very difficult. You may receive a message saying that the name you requested is unavailable. Therefore, keep some alternate choices at hand.
Now you are ready to publish your work.
By default, it allows you to upload 5 files at a time. You can choose how many files you wish to upload at a time. If your files are heavy, I suggest you upload few at a time, else, you can publish as many as twenty in a go. To publish folders:

Once you are done, check out your website. The url is available in your file manager screen, above the files list. Check for image and hyperlink paths, and correct any errors.
